1.The instance of "table" is of great impression because you gave me an very explicit example on how to explain the difference between"objects confirm to cognition"and"congnition confirms to objects". Also, you well expressed the meaning of "pure reason" by quoting what Kant said.
2.You well explained the meaning of"a priori"and "a posteriori".From "a priori",I believe Kant speak highly of the importance of apriorism, which suggest that we should form an cognition at first, and then oberve the objects to obtain knowledge of it.
3.It is good to talk about what diffidulty you met in your group.I believe you'd spent quite much time on thinking about what's the meaning of the Kant's words. It is interesting that we can also turn the "expression" and finally got the similar meaning. While,it would be perfecter if you could also add more about your understanding on this reflectin.
4.Your explaination of your understanding is perfect and explict. In your reflection, you mentioned about what your group talk about on these two question, which makes your essay more naturallly. It is impressive to mention what seminar leader said in the class, such as "raw sense data","pen","God's point of view",etc.

5.In your essay, you well mentioned the evolution of the philosophy on recognition of the world. It is impressing to talk about the "mechanical world" , "primary qualities "and "secondary qualities",becauseI did not catch this part in the class.

7.You've well quoted the Copernican Revolution and Rohlf's words, making it more clear for me to catch"kant's idea of objectivity". Also, your metaphor on "playground" is quite interesting and unique, but I did not understand it quite well. 9.Your reflection is logical and expicit. Also, during the fisrt seminar,we all got the point that if there is nobody in the world, the pencil is not a pencil, because it loses its value and becomes meaningless. It was also interesting. We also discussed a lot on baby's cognition.I still don't understand until now.Maybe analytic judgement is kin of a priori, and we use the forms of intuition and categories to get the apriori to get knowledge of the world, enven though we can not understand the real world.

10.You did quite well in that you could share so many points to us.I really love the example of Albert Einstein.Indeed I was in the other group that time.We all diacussed much about baby. What is interesting is that language can narrow down the baby's horizon, because when he was born,he is totally open to the world.Whereas,it is also his first step to open to the world.(from the seminar leader) quite impressive.

1.Thank you for writing so excellent reflection for me to read. I love your explanation of how to design a questionnaire,It fully contains your own idea.It remainded me that You we should avoid giving a “leading” question or any suggestibility that cause the participants followed our mind.I totally agree that "It is also very important to test the questionnaire you designed before it could be considered “valid”".I came up a problem due to my questionnaire's deficiency.
Keep up!

2.Thanks for your fascinating reflection,I am glad that you found this theme different and easier than the previous themes and you really did a good reflection. As for me, I have never have the knowledge of "quantitative method "and "qualitative method "before. So,this seminar is still difficult for me and I could not tell from the quantitative method and qualitative method correctly.I love that "Every questionnaire has to be tested and validate".I met difficulty once upon a time due to my questionnaire's deficiency.
Keep up!

3.Hi,I really enjoy your explicit reflection a lot!.It is friendly and clear. I pretty like that you could shared what you met in the seminar group. It is intersting that you made the same pre-post paper with your groupmate. Also,It is of great importance to rethink what we had done in pre-homework. It could improve our recognition of the paper and help us obtain some new ideas from old homework. You did a really great job!.As for the quantitative method , you prosed the idea that quantitative method is mainstream of sicence research.I agree with you .

4.Thanks for your interesting and impressive reflection! You made a good job by explaining what the quantitative is and what the different is between quantitative method and qualitative method.I pretty like your sentences”defined quantitative methods as methods that gather numerical data which later can be used and presented as statistical analyses ”.You made a really good explanation for me.And I agree with you that it is easier for some questions to use qualitative method
link-comment 4
5.Hi,Thanks for bring so impressive reflection. In your essay, you said that "I think the process is quiet hard. Because of the lack of past experiences of quantitative methods in my own projects.",and so do I. I also think quantitative method and qualitative method both are difficult for me. But you made an excellent explanation between them. I really like your words"the quantitative methods could enhance the authenticity and systematicity and reveal the problems in the practices".You really stated the advantages of quantitative method in a explicit way.

6.Hi,Thanks for bring me so wonderful reflection.I like it very much because it is fully filled your own though.I’m glad to see that this seminar was easy for you, though it was still diffidult for me. Through your esssay, I learnt a lot, like”interview was a qualitative method of research mostly used in the humanities”,etc.I had been not sure about this utill saw this essay.I think that it is good idea to post what we discussed during the seminar and it is also a good idea to share what we write before.

I also learnt a lot from your reflection such as '' 'should interview some participants, to see if they’ve understood'. You taught me the meaning of "piloting".I also never thought that "Doing an internet survey is hard in many ways" before. You indeed gave me many inspirations.

8.Hi,Thanks for your reflection! Indeed I am the person who do not have prior knowledge of quantitative research and of course I think I learnt much from both lecture and seminar.I am glad to see that you made an good explanation on "Drumming in Immersive Virtual Reality",and I think it fascinating too! On the contrary,I think the experiment with the rubber hand is as facinating as the drumming experiment for me. It is beyond my imagination that we can regard out side objects as one part of our body. It seems like that we have already have a extension of our boudy.
I like your reflection, Keep up.

9.Hi,I really love your reflection! I really like your reflection.Keep up!

10.Hi,Your reflection is extremely excellent and I enjoy reading it a lot. I love the well-structured style of your reflection and from reading it, I can learn a lot.I love your wisdom instance in the third paragraph. It is insithtful to propose that "Categorizing data will almost certainly mean throwing some data away".When we analyze the statistic result,we have to find the relationship of this statistic. In order to find the clue,we have to narrow down the imformation, which is definitely a hidden problem.I also agree with you that quantitative method and qualitative method complement each other, which is also important view.
Keep up!

11.Hi,I enjoyed reading your reflection a lot.It is interesting that we could use a totally different way to conduct our experiment, just like what Ilias's friends did.If you spent long time with the homeless people, you will learn more information than just doing a questionnaire. Also, thanks for teaching me "data driven analysis".From your essay I knew that what we got from the plan may be out of our imagination.I agree with you that we should choose different methods in different fields.

1.Hi,It seems that you did a good job by assembling Haibo Li's idea into five steps. Each step is clear and with good explanation. I agree that this week the lecture is difficult for us to grap. Anyway, you shows that you made an great effort on this topic.I think the hardest step for us is making a prototype because we should use many acedemic knowledge on making it.While Haibo Li thought coming up with a idea is of great importance. And I also think many researches we will do can not be transfered into economic value immediately.
link-comment 1
2.I like to read your reflection because I can learn many new idea from your reflection. Besides the precise summary of what Haibo Li taught in lecture 1,you did a excellent analyzing on lecture 2.As for prototypes,I agree that prototype is used for gaining knowledge,it doesn't need to be a solution. What I learned most from your reflection is the explanation of "Empirical data".Well done
link-comment 2
3.Yeah,Haibo's lecture is vivid and practical while the Anders' lecture contains more information and it is hard to understand. I would like to say I did not understand most of the content in lecture 2.What I know is a bout the use and aim of prototype. While as for the emperical data,I knew less about it.From your perspective, the empirical knowledge is artificial and produced by researcher.
Thanks for your reflection.
link-comment 3
4.Thank you for your good reflection and you made a good reflection on lecture 1.What interested me most during lecture 1 is the "tunnel vision".From that example I knew that we could not take everything for granted and find out the new idea behind our normal life. What he said about idea is that " defining a problem can occupied 90 percent of you time and solving a problem will just spent 10 percent time."But I think solving problem is still important. There are also many researches without shortcut.
Thanks for your reflection.
link-comment 4
5.I also think it will bring some disadvantages if we do not have a seminar during the week. Haibo Li said " 90% effort into finding and defining the problem and the last 10% on coming up with a solution." I think idea is of great importance because it can help us save the time ,money and effort. Thanks for mention "difference between two types of prototyping; industrial research prototyping and design research prototyping."In fact I missed this point during the lecture.
link-comment 5
6.To evaluate if the concept would be usable is one of the basic use of the prototype.I also agree with you that design a research can lead to knowledge. Thanks for giving me the idea that" If these is no analysis of e.g. interviews there is no research to speak of, only a presentation of data".What is important is to get the conclusion from the what we observed.I also think defining a problem is very important. In fact ,if you define a problem, defining problem is also a part of solving problem. Thanks for sharing
link-comment 6
7.HI,I like what you said:”To do this it is important to avoid tunnel vision and see the problem from a bigger perspective”.If we don not have a deep thought about the problem, our horizon will be narrowed down, and can not solve the problem efficiently.Just like the tunnel vision,if we drive so fast,we can not own the wide perspective which can see the coming obstacle.
Also I think it a pity that you could not attend the second lecture because the second lecture also contained many useful information.
Thanks for your sharing
link-comment 7
8.Thanks for sharing your reflection on the first lecture last week. Before the first lecture,I think the most important thing is how to solving the idea .But in the first lecture,I know that may be it would not be true because only when you rethink the problem a lot and did a good define, can you solve the problem more successfully. But I still do not get the idea of "a great idea is not necessarily a technological innovative idea".Maybe he means it is still worthy to come up a kind of platform for technique.
link-comment 8
9.Hi,You did have a good understanding of the theme 5.Summarizing into five steps, you really made a good summary of what Haibo Li purposed. I really like professor Li's instance of the head tracking research. But I'm nor sure whether the idea is so important as it will take 90 percentage. I also think we could understand better if there had been a seminar for us to discuss. I can not grasp the meaning of empirical data, but maybe I will check on the Internet later.
Thanks for your sharing.
link-comment 9
10.Hi'I also think Haibo gave a new point of view on the lecture for us and he also give me an idea of defining a problem. Thanks for giving me the idea that "a proof of concept is some kind of early prototype", which I didn't understand during the lecture. As for the elevator pitch, it is definitely a way to communicate but it can not be the only way. Maybe we could also explaining the prototype and how it's used.
Thanks for your reflection.

1.I really agree with you about what is quantitative method and what is qualitative method. If the questionnaire is made up of questions whose answer is already given and made into different level ,then the questionnaire is used the quantitative method. Similarly, if the questionnaire contains many question requiring your own idea and explanation,it must be the qualitative method. Whereas, there are also some questionnaires used both of these two methods.
Thanks for sharing.
link-comment 1
2.Hi,Thanks for your sharing and I agree with you that "A case study looks at something specific"and"It can also be used before conducting a study".While I think it can also to confirm a theory because a case study is more like a guidance with clear steps for us to conduct study. I like your instance that " Of course one could conduct a fruitful study just based on this person. "
thank you
link-comment 2
3.HI,To be true, I really like what you write,"The number of the participants does not define the type of the method. The type of the data that we gather defines the method".It's interesting in your seminar that you were talking about whether the number can determine the types of method. You really made a good reflection,
I also think it is not necessary for a research to contain all the parts of the table,
because I think the case study is a strategy for you to conduct. It is just used to help you.
thank you.
link-comment 3
4.Hi,
Thanks for your reflection! I agree with you that a case study is a research strategy which focus on comprehension and can give us directions on conducting the research.Whereas,to my understanding, if a questionnaire contains answers of which can be divided into different levels without asking question, it could be quantitative method.
All in all, I love your examples of seminar and your point of view.
link-comment 4
5.Hi,I like the good point that "that the researchers often select some data that are representative for the total resul".I think if we use the qualitative method, we should gather lots of information from the conversation or interview. It is definitely narrowed down when we absorb the infomation from the whole material. But it will help us have a more clear understanding on this study.
Thank you!
link-comment 5
6.Hi,I quite like your reflection that you said "qualitative or quantitative is not depend on the numbers of participants in that research, but decide by the type of data your collected".It is true that you can take information form one participant by using either qualitative method or qualitative method. As for the case study, I think it is a guidance for us to take a research.
Thank you for your reflection
link-comment 6
7.Hi,You said "case study can be considered as more of a research category rather than a method" and I can't agree more ! Of course case study is a guidance that helps you make a good plan for your research. It helps us know how to think up of different idea,It helps us filt different idea and it helps us make scientific plan. All in all ,I can not agree you more. Also, I like your pont that pointing to something new is vey important and significant.
Thank you

8.Hi,Your reflection is excellent and unique. Firstly, I agree with you that " In qualitative research, the data isn't quantified and summarised in clear tables," I like your explanation that take the qualitative method as one way to tell the story. But I really don't know the meaning of " It examines something in a single setting "May be ,as you said examing is a good way to generate lots of knowledge.
thank you.

9.Hi,Your reflection is very interesting because I’ve never thought the relationship between hypothesis and case study.Thank you for making me know that incase study, there is no hyphothesis. Your explanation between these two is unique. You must spent lots of time on thinking the relationship between case study and hyphothesis. I also think that in fact ,these two things has different scale.
As for case study, it is more like a guidance or strategy while hypothesis is more like an explanation to explain what is already happened.
Thank you
link-comment 9
10.Hi,I also had no knowledge of case study before. I think finding paper is the most difficult thing because you didn't know whether the paper contains these method. You should read these papers first and then you may find these paper more often used quantitative method ,not the qualitative method. So you have to find a new paper.
I appreciate that I was so lucky to attend the final seminar with a great group. becuse I learned much knowledge from my groupmates. They give me a new understanding on quantitative method and qualitative method.and also they give me a good explanation on what the case study is and what the case study used for.
I also like your reflection very much.Keep it up!

1.It's a pleasure for me to read your relfection again .You did really well on expaining the concept "theory" with articulated manner.I really like your examples on Newton’s laws of motion, from which I knew theaory is not equal to truth. It can be a "theory" in some limited fields and can also be replaced by new theory.Maybe it's a kind of progess to some extent. Also, The example of quantum physics is very interesting because I've never thoght one theory could be based on other theories.

2.I really enjoyed your fascinating refection a lot,by its logical structure and well-developed insightful analysis. It's amazing that you could use the instance " pen drops on the ground " to analyze the relationship between "theory" and "knowledge",from which I know theory does not equal to knowledge and it can be incorrect sometimes. Also,I really love your final paragraph, and it is interesting to take God for an instance. Maybe one theory is not necessary to be truth and has its limitation which can be modified by other theory to some extent. Thanks for your impressive essay.Keep it up.

3.Your eassay helped me have a better comprehension on "theory" and it is well-organized by stating what you've learned according to the time order, which is from Monday's lecture to the seminar. You also made it clear by quoting the meaning of Greek word "theory". From this, I understood the early meaning of theoty, which means seeing and perceiving. It is goodto expain with your own thoughts, like"Paradigm as I perceive it is a way of thinking".

Keep it up.

I pretty like your instances on "attacked by sharks"and "magnesium carbonate".I could clearly get your point that theory is unnecessary to be true becuse the example of "sharks" is vivid. What I didn't notice before is your point that questioning earlier belief.Obviously it is very important to promote science progress by questioning earlier theory.Like the scientists in Uppsala University, they made angreat contribution to Chemistry not only by creating a new substance but also promting the progress of theory.

6.It is really good that you expained the concept of theory in a very clear and precise way.As for the discussion of "what is man",you made a detailed list of our view, from which I couldhave a better understanding from multiple perspective.I like the view that man is combination of the human bodies and consciousness. It defined "men"both in physical perspective and spiritual perspective.

7.I enjoyed your reflection.Definitely you did well in thes reflection. I like your insightful idea that theory and research are inseparable.Although theory is about perceiving and research is about doing, but you can not separate them when doing research in practice. I agree your idea on this. Also, I read the intersting thing is that even though Newton’s laws of motion is proved incorrect in light-speed objects,it can still be used as a theory in may fields.
I like your work.Keep it up.

8.You really have a good understanding on the conception of theory and I enjoyed your relfection a lot.I extremely like your example about the changing of our thought in the universe. It is quite good example that if one basic theory is proved to be incorrect,it will lead to a series of modification on other theories, just like we chenged our idea from Geocentric theory to Heliocentric theory.Keep it up.

9.Your reflection is good and interestingand I like it very much.Especially when you expain the idea of "theory of flow" you used the "arrow"to connect each step of the "theory of flow".It can make your explanation easier and clearer by using arrow. Also,I like your sentence "theory is framework or structured knowledge based on that famework rules that explain how and why processes or phenomena work". This summary of the expanation of the theory is really good and logical. Keep it up.

It helps me have more comprehension on theory.Definitely it is interesting to discuss the conception of theory and research. From this discussion I not only knew the meaning and aim of theory but also learned the origin meaning of the word theory from Greek word.It also reminded me about what we learned from Kant because this question is related to the form of knowledge and our perception. I enjoyed your reflection a lot. Keep it up.

4.With so much of your own idea and thought, your essay is of good quality.I really enjoyed reading it.You had a good explanation on theory, such as"In generally, theory provide an explanatory framework for an observation".What interested me most is the discussion on "human".You succesufully grasped the aim of this discussion, which is to discuss the relationship between the three concepts theory, human and research. Keep it up.

Keep up.

Keep up.

7.I have to say that I really really love your reflection which is fully filled the aura of wisdom!

It is fully filled your spark of wisdom. It is intersting that somebody would think quantitative method is originated in numbers and you indeed have a much better understanding of these two methods. Absolutelly,I can see that you really did a lot of work on this seminar.I especially love your instance in the last paragraph from which I can clearly see that quantitative method supplements qualitative method in many field.

Keep it up!
